Haider began his professional life at Morgan Stanley in 2003. While there, he witnessed the overwhelming lack of financial literacy and the need for objective, client-centered financial advice instead of product sales to the public. This drove him to establish his financial planning practice, providing trustworthy advice and guidance to clients through the challenges of the Great Recession in 2008.
In 2013, Haider was recruited by Equity Concepts as their Director of Financial Planning to build out the firm’s advanced planning desk and financial planning platforms. After successfully enhancing the firm’s offerings, he felt the desire to expand his service to helping clients do more than just build a financial plan. He wanted to help people use their wealth on purpose which led him to establish the Purpose and Wealth Group.
Haider received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and currently holds the following Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses: Series 7 and 66. Haider is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.
As someone who understands his personal “why,” Haider has been actively engaged in the Richmond community. He is the current Treasurer for the Stonehenge Men’s Golf Association. He is the former chair of the board for Needles Eye Ministries, and was a former board member of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, former chair of the Richmond Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the UVA Club of Richmond.
Haider lives in Moseley, Virginia, with his wife, Tiffini, and children, Anaya and Semir. On the weekends, Haider particularly cherishes spending quality time with his family as well as playing golf.
